Established in 1987, The Mentoring Summer Research Internship Program (MSRIP) is UCR Graduate Division's flagship eight-week summer research program administered by the Academic Preparation, Recruitment, and Outreach Office (APRO). The program was established with the goal of increasing the number of outstanding students from diverse backgrounds interested in pursuing graduate degrees. Since then, MSRIP has expanded to encompass a variety of different programs wherein students benefit from faculty mentorship, professional development, and graduate and academic preparation here at UCR.

This year's Summer 2024 cohort includes summer research scholars from a variety of disciplines conducting research with UCR faculty from nearly every college on campus.

The goal of our symposium is to allow students from a wide variety of programs, including our own MSRIP and UC LEADs students, to showcase their research to faculty mentors and peers.
