UC Office of the President - Historically Black Colleges and Universities Initiative (UC-HBCU)

 

The UC Office of the President offers fellowships to incoming UC graduate students who have participated in UC-HBCU Summer Internships.
 

  • Application Fee Waiver
     
  • Full Financial Package
    • 1 year of fellowship support (including NRST if applicable)
    • 4  years (up to the normative time of the chosen program) of additional support, either employment as a teaching assistant or graduate student researcher, or additional fellowship support, depending on the campus and program of the student
       
  • Living Supplement/Transition Award
    • $3000 for moving/living expenses in year 1
       
  • Professional development
    • $5000 for professional development
    • 2 trips to the President's Postdoctoral Fellowship annual fall meeting
       
  • Academy Noire (in partnership with Black Girl Doctor--a team of Black psychologists)
    • Wellness coaching
    • Mentorship
    • Advising
    • Community
