The Office of Academic Preparation, Recruitment & Outreach (APRO) is dedicated to serving the diverse population of the state of California by helping students achieve their goal of a post-graduate education. Our office works to close the opportunity gaps in education by creating an inclusive environment for all students as they progress toward graduate study. We design and implement recruitment initiatives where students can learn about our 46 graduate programs at UCR. We engage with potential and current graduate students in research, mentoring, and other academic enrichment and preparation programs designed to promote equity and inclusion in graduate study. Importantly, we support these students as they proceed through their degrees and go on to fulfilling careers in their chosen field. Our mission is to ensure that UCR’s Masters and Doctorate programs reflect the rich diversity of California’s people, and that all students have the power to pursue their dreams of a higher degree.
